Pop Punk Summer Camp Festival: The Maine at Pepsi Amphitheater

On Sunday, July 14th, Flagstaff's Pepsi Amphitheater will host a night of high-energy music and nostalgic vibes as the Pop Punk Summer Camp festival arrives. This much-anticipated event will feature headliners The Maine alongside fan favorites Mayday Parade and The Wonder Years. Hailing from Phoenix, AZ, The Maine has been a staple in the alternative rock and pop punk scene since 2007. Known for their genre-blending sounds that range from emo pop to 90s' alternative rock, the band has continued to evolve with each album. Their latest self-titled release in 2023 adds yet another layer to their dynamic discography, promising an exciting setlist for concertgoers.

We had the chance to catch up with Garrett Nickelsen, the longtime bass player for The Maine, who shared his excitement about the upcoming show. "It will be our first show at the Pepsi Amphitheater, and being so close to home, I'm excited to have some friends and family drive up for the show," Garrett revealed. He also hinted that fans can expect to hear a few tracks from their latest album, adding, "We love playing new stuff, so as much as we can fit from the self-titled record without it feeling too self-indulgent, we will do." Garrett also teased that the band is always working on new projects, keeping their creative process fresh and ever-evolving.
